Hurricane Preparedness and the Importance of Consumer Spending

As many of you know, spring is fading away in the Houston area. As we approach summer, remember that hurricane season is ramping up. Get that flood insurance and be prepared for the unexpected!  

Additionally, as economic news continues to come out, keep an eye on consumer spending. Representing a huge percentage of our overall GDP, consumer spending levels can be indicative of whether or not the economy is headed in the right direction.
