Take Pictures and Is Recession Official?

No one likes to talk or think about homeowners insurance, but it is really important that coverages are reviewed at least once per year. Over the course of the last two years, home values have skyrocketed. Are your coverage amounts still adequate? Have you taken pictures of your personal possessions? Keep in mind that in the event of total loss or theft, these pictures may be all you have to prove that you owned those items. Also, make sure these items are actually covered. For example, some policies may only cover jewelry up to a $2,500 max, which may not be enough.

On another note, last week the 2nd quarter GDP was announced. The economy contracted -0.9% over the course of April 2022 – June 2022, signaling that we are likely in recession. So, now what?
