Toys for Tots Community Outreach

Friends, the holiday season is upon us yet again. The cold winds are blowing, thoughts of fried turkey are filling our minds, and if you listen just closely enough, you can hear the elves at the North Pole working away on all the Christmas toys for the children this year. It is for them (the children, not elves), that we would like to donate our time, money, and effort this year.

This Christmas season, Strategic Advisory Services, LLC is partnering with the United States Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots Foundation! Toys for Tots is a Foundation started by USMCR Major Bill Hendricks back in 1947. The goal of the program is "... to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens." Each year, Toys for Tots delivers thousands and thousands of toys to children across the nation who are less fortunate than most. This year, we have volunteered our office to be a drop-off site for toys!

We are asking you, dear reader, to help us raise as many toy donations as possible. We are asking you to donate your time and toys to help those less fortunate than us. Together, we can make a child's Christmas Day so much better. Just a few quick guidelines on toy donations: We will be accepting new, unwrapped toys for all ages, infant to high school. We cannot accept food products, liquids, or realistic-looking guns. We will be accepting toys from today until December 11. After the 11th, we will be delivering the donations to the USMCR who will distribute the toys to the children. For more information about Toys for Tots, click here.

So, there you have it! From now until December 11, come out to the SAS offices, bring some toys, and donate to a fantastic cause! The gang will all be here, we'll have refreshments for those who come out, and we cannot wait to see you. Houston is a fantastic, resilient city. The need is great this year, especially after Harvey. We have no doubt that the great people who live here will continue to provide for each other, and we are so proud to be able to help.
